lyrics

A sickening fright as I open the door
As my feet turn back, they beg they implore
I don’t recognise this place anymore

A stumbling figure tumultuous with plight
I avert my sympathetic eyes
They’re a mirror to everything else I see

Calamity is not a street
You should pass on your way walking home
But when you do
Why is it that you’re always walking there alone?

I used to be happy gathering
Losing my mind, curating my wins
Why now does my greedy soul want more?

I used to see it in your face too
But something died, you found a way through
I’ve retained a spark I can barely keep alive

Calamity is not a street
You should pass on your way home
But when you do
Why is it that you always walk alone?
